Start with the rider's current experience, age and what they want from their season. Age ranges are a guide; placement also considers riding ability, independence, safety, commitment and group fit.

New to Snowboarding

If a rider is still learning the basics, the goal is a positive first experience: balance, stopping, turning, confidence and enough independence to keep progressing.

Riders 12+

Choose How You Want to Ride.

At 12+, riders can keep progressing through a recreational/all-mountain pathway or join a Freestyle or Speed Team. They are different experiences, not a ranking of better or worse.

Recreational / All-Mountain

Consistent coaching, variety, a regular crew and progression across the whole mountain without making competition the centre of the season.

Freestyle Teams

Park progression, jumps, rails, style and team identity, with fun inter-team competition between Wentworth and Martock.

Speed Teams

Boardercross, race skills, line choice, starts and confidence at speed, with fun inter-team competition between Wentworth and Martock.

Want More Time on Snow?

Eligible Wentworth and Martock programs can be combined across hills for more time on snow at a multi-program rate, subject to placement, capacity and schedule compatibility.

Adaptive & Para Snowboard

Adaptive and para opportunities do not sit on one single rung of the pathway. The right fit depends on the rider's experience, goals, equipment, communication needs, support needs and the program environment that will set them up to succeed.
