Maritime Jibbers is a snowboard club situated at Ski Wentworth, Nova Scotia, dedicated to providing an exhilarating and supportive environment for young riders.

 

Offering Canada Snowboard's RIDERS programming, Maritime Jibbers focuses on skill development and confidence-building while nurturing a lifelong love for snowboarding.

 

The club's vibrant community extends beyond the slopes, fostering connections and lasting friendships among like-minded parents, athletes, and coaches.

SNOWBOARD PROGRAMS

At Maritime Jibbers, we're thrilled to offer an array of winter-based snowboard programs, designed to cater to various skill levels. Our programs are thoughtfully crafted in alignment with Canada Snowboard's esteemed RIDERS program guidelines.

The RIDERS Program is an inspiring journey, where we focus on instilling confidence and honing skills in young athletes, creating a robust foundation for competitive snowboarding. Over the course of ten exhilarating weeks, we're committed to developing the essential fundamentals that enable participants to shine across a spectrum of snowboarding disciplines.

Riders blue

Your child's first step to competitive snowboarding! Perfect for those who have just graduated from Wentworth's Rippers program. This program introduces them to advanced riding, freestyle, and racing in a fun and supportive environment. Skills include all-mountain riding, carving, tricks, park safety, and adapting to terrain.

Age Requirements: 7+

Riding Requirements: Independent chairlift use and comfortable on green & blue runs & confidently linking turns on green & blue runs.

BEYOND SNOWBOARDING

Beyond the slopes and skill development, Maritime Jibbers thrives as a vibrant community of like-minded parents, athletes, and coaches. We believe that building a strong snowboarding community enriches the experience for everyone involved.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Throughout the season, we host various social gatherings for athletes and parents alike. These events provide opportunities to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the love of snowboarding while creating lifelong friendships.

Our Heritage Day, March Break, and Off-Season Training Camps are more than just skill-building experiences. They're a chance for young riders to connect with their peers, create lasting memories, and form bonds that extend beyond the mountain.

THE Team

Discover our dynamic coaching team, a diverse group of individuals with extensive experience. Our team includes seasoned coaches with international and major event expertise, such as Nor-Am's and Canada Games, as well as recent graduates from the NS Provincial Freestyle & Speed Teams.
